Michael Shawn was born March 2 in the Bronx, NY. After graduation from Lenape High school, Michael Shawn went to a comedy club just to watch the show and be entertained. While watching the show, Michael said himself that he could entertain the audience just the same and make people laugh. At an open mic call for Comedian Rejects, Michael Shawn paid $10 to enter the contest and made his first move toward being a comedian.
After one joke the audience was hooked. Michael won the contest and the club asked him to return, because he was so funny he was banned from the contest. From the comedy club to BET appearances and radio, Michael Shawn has had a very successful career. He now hosts 100.3 The Beat’s mid-day show. He now lives with his fiancé and five beautiful daughters in New Jersey.
